How Funds Are Raised

 

Funds are raised through donations collected year-round in Montreal and Toronto
 

In addition, there are a variety of fundraising activities, such as

  • the Sian Bradwell Softball Tournaments, which are held in Kirkland (Montreal),  Quebec and Mississauga, Ontario in July-August.

  • the Sian Bradwell-West Island Lakers Basketball All-Star Weekend (held in Pointe Claire, Quebec, in late January or early February). There are over 900 youngsters from the age of 6 to 18 in the league.  Further information:  www.wilba.net  and SBF Events.

  • “Sourires/Smiles” [bar code scanning] programme through Metro grocery stores.

  • sale of advertising space in the annual book (which doubles as a programme for the softball tournament in Kirkland).

  • silent auction of items (joint last event of the softball tournament in Montreal).

  • Other fundraising events organised by volunteers.
