Guidelines for Cashiers
|
1. |
Please try to be
at the park/dance 20 minutes before the
scheduled start of your shift. |
|
2. |
All refreshments
must be by ticket only, unless there are no
line-ups. In this case, customers may
hand cash to volunteer worker, and this
person should hand the cash to you. |
|
3. |
Each cashbox has
a float at the start of the day and at the
end of the day |
|
4. |
Keep cash for
different items in separate bags:
-
REFRESHMENT STANDS
- RAFFLE
- BASEBALL
CAPS
- T-SHIRTS
-
DONATIONS
- etc.
This will help us
in putting together the results of how we
fared in the tournament. |
|
5. |
Do NOT leave the cash box unattended at any
time |
|
6. |
When you are the
cashier, you are the only person who is
allowed to touch the cash box. Other
volunteers should not remove or put in any
money, but should hand the money to you. |
|
7. |
From time to
time, the Treasurer will come around to empty
the cash box and leave the float. This
person [Marisa Testa, Laurie Simpson or
Mirella Spadafora] will be carrying (and will
show) an identification badge. Marisa,
Laurie and Mirella are the ONLY people
authorised to empty the cash boxes. All
amounts taken out of cash boxes will be
accounted for at that time and initialled by
the treasurer and cashier. |
|
8. |
If cash must be
removed for emergency purchases, a
requisition must be
signed by the park co-ordinator on duty.
In addition, a receipt for the item(s)
purchased must be provided and left in the
cash box. |
|
9. |
If you are the
last person of the day working as cashier,
please hand the cash box to the park co-ordinator
[who will also be carrying an identification
tag]. |
|
|
|
|
|
N.B.:
your park co-ordinator has the alcohol permit
for your park |
